Overview

You’ll need a set of credentials to connect Tenable. The following steps will guide you through the process. In the end you'll have two keys ready for onborading:

1. Access Tenable key

2. Secret Tenable Key

Generating access and secret Tenable keys

Step 1. Login to your Tenable instance as an Administrator user.

Step 2. Click the three line options menu and then click on Settings.

Step 3. Under Account Management click on Access Control.

Step 4. Click Create User.

Step 5. Enter the desired username, assign Administrator role: do NOT click next yet.

Step 6. Scroll down to Authentication options and ensure that at least API Key and Username/Password are enabled. Click Next.

• You may choose to enable or disable others in accordance with your organization security practices.

Step 7. Skip User Groups selection and click Next.

Step 8. On the Permissions page click the top selection checkbox to select all and click Save.
